In 2015, Dove Valley Ranch entered a new chapter when it was acquired by Thompson Golf Management. The course faced a significant challenge when an unfortunate herbicide event led to the demise of its greens. Thompson stepped in, initially assisting the previous owner in revitalizing the greens and bringing the course back to life. Once the project reached fruition, Thompson officially took ownership of the property, a decision that required unwavering determination, as buying a golf course with dead greens was no small feat. However, installing the new greens was only part of the equation; the course’s brand needed a revival. The dedicated team embraced this challenge, breathing new life into the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course.

Through a harmonious blend of expert Agronomy work and strategic Marketing efforts, Dove Valley Ranch achieved remarkable results, witnessing an average revenue growth of 13.7% annually from 2016 through 2022. The operations teams also excelled, consistently delivering an impressive average operating margin of 29.5% over the same period.

This margin expansion transformed Dove Valley into a formidable asset within our portfolio. Today, Dove Valley Ranch continues to flourish as a testament to the perseverance and expertise of the Thompson Golf Management team.
